What is the difference between ultrafiltration thermal membrane production and wet membrane production?

Mar 24, 2022

Wet uf membrane forming characteristics:

  • Uf membrane formation driving force is mass transfer

  • High filtering precision

  • Good hydrophilicity

  • Lower mechanical strength

Thermal uf membrane forming characteristics:

  • The driving force for membrane formation is the high crystallinity of the heat transfer membrane

  • High mechanical strength

  • Good chemical resistance

  • Belongs to Ultra Micro Filtration

UF system

Wet process uf membrane characteristics:

  •  Filtration pore size: 0.04μm (SDI<2 turbidity<0.1 NTU);

  • Asymmetric cavernous membrane, single cortex, low water permeability resistance, good retention;

  • Permanent hydrophilic modification, good pollution resistance and stable flux;

  • Pure water flux: 500L/m2 h bar, at 25℃;

Thermal uf membrane forming characteristics:

  • Continuously challenge the strength of the membrane filament to overcome 10 Newtons;

  •  Filament strength is nearly 4 times that of "Non-solvent Induced Phase Separation (NIPS)" and nearly 2 times that of "Composite-Thermal Induced Phase Separation (C-TIPS)";

  • Filtration pore size: 0.1μm (SDI<2 turbidity<0.1 NTU);

  •  Bi-continuous 3D network structure is evenly distributed;

  • Pure water flux: 1000L/m2 h bar, at 25℃;
