How about a water purifier with a pressure tank? Is there secondary pollution?

Dec 13, 2021

There are many kinds of household water purification equipment.  For instance,  a reverse osmosis water purifier, affected by the flux of RO membrane, the reverse osmosis water purifier is divided into pressure bucket type and non pressure bucket type. Many consumers will hesitate whether they can choose the reverse osmosis water purifier with pressure bucket. If there is pressure bucket, will there be secondary pollution?

Why is the reverse osmosis water purifier equipped with pressure bucket? The significance of the pressure drum is to solve the problem of slow water making speed of RO membrane. When selecting the reverse osmosis water purifier, there will be different parameters such as 75 gallons, 150 gallons, 400 gallons and 500 gallons. These parameters refer to the daily water production of the reverse osmosis water purifier, 1 gallon ≈ 3.785l, so the daily water production of the 75 gallon reverse osmosis water purifier is 3.785l 785 * 75 ≈ 284l, with less water production, the natural water production speed is slow, and the waiting time for a cup of water is relatively long.

Reduce waiting time

In order to make the reverse osmosis water purifier with small daily water production such as 75 gallons more efficient and save our waiting time, a pressure bucket will be equipped. The water purifier can make water in advance and store it in the pressure bucket, so as to achieve the purpose of supplying pure water in time.

As for the secondary pollution of the pressure bucket, in fact, the reverse osmosis water purifier with pressure bucket has obvious advantages. It solves the water outlet speed, and the stored pure water can also be used as an emergency in case of power failure. The overall cost performance of the machine is also high, and the cost of filter element replacement in the later stage is lower. However, due to the need for more installation space and the fear of secondary pollution, many people have doubts.

Will the pressure drum have secondary pollution?

We should know that the internal environment of the pressure barrel is a vacuum closed state, which can avoid the pollution caused by the contact of dust and bacteria in the air. Therefore, as long as pure water is entered, there will be no problem. However, it is also necessary to pay attention to the maintenance of the pressure drum at ordinary times. If the reverse osmosis water purifier has not been used for a long time, the water in the pressure drum should be drained. If you are really worried, you can replace the pressure barrel in about 3-5 years.
